Educational
Programs
Since
1995, Josh Greenberg and the Mother Goose Jazz Band have been
performing in a wide variety of venues including schools, performing
arts centers, festivals, libraries, shopping malls, and special
events. Our mission is to nurture an appreciation for blues and
jazz and to instill in the very young an understanding of the
foundations of thisGreat American music. The goal is to broaden
the listening audience for jazz, ensuring that this music is preserved
for years to come.
The
Mother Goose Jazz Bands live show is captivating family
entertainment that is fun and educational. It introduces children
to the elements of jazz: call and response, improvisation, the
steady beat and syncopation, and the African/European roots of
the blues.
Lesson Plans
and cassettes are provided to all institutions of learning and
to individuals to help prepare students for their concert experience.
